'Fair Game' in America.

So I am watching this show on TVOne called "Fair Game". This tv special talks about equality in America. What sticks out to me is how they are speaking about black men being targeted. They say black men start getting targeted while they are black boys. Personally I have seen it happen with my own eyes. But black men arent the only ones being targeted, black people as a whole are getting targeted. Why? Because American society has downgraded the black culture saying that we are all headed toward a life of crime, we are too lazy, and so on.

So I ask...Do you really think everyone is equal in America even after all the struggles of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr; Malcolm X; Rosa Parks; etc?

  1. No I most definitely don't believe that we all are equal in America. I especially don’t think that black men are being represented well in America, and they are the most targeted individuals in this country. At a young age black boys are pressured into taking on roles as men. These boys are too immature to actually carry out the roles of an adult male. It then affects their learning because black male children are too busy being adults they don't have time to learn the academics that white males are learning in America. Then as adults it starts to affect their pay and before you realize you have a group of men without education. Then the question is asked: why are so many black males behind bars? The answer: lack of education, pressure to become an adult and lack of opportunity. Is it the men to blame themselves? No because society has constructed a wide gap between black males and success.
